Full Professor at the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Department of University of Naples Federico II, responsible for teaching Database Systems and Big Data Engineering. Coordinator of the Master's Degree Program in Data Science and leader of the PICUS research group. His research focuses on Big Multimedia Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Social Network Analysis. Director of CINI ITEM Research Lab, with numerous awards including grants from Oracle and Microsoft. Author of about 260 publications in international venues.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Computer Science at Northwestern University, holding a PhD from University of Naples Federico II. His research focuses on agentic and generative AI systems for socially relevant domains, including social media, public information, and security. He studies the opportunities and risks of deploying autonomous AI systems in socially consequential domains, with a focus on impact, accountability, and alignment with social good.
